Join Victoria’s Kitchen at the Woking Food and Drink Festival this year for some more mini workshops. The activity is aimed at ages 5+ and will be approx 30 minutes of creative, sugary fun! The children will decorate one cupcake each using hand modelling skills and our specialist tools, to create a miniature piece of edible art on a cupcake!

Sessions will take place in the Side Chapel of Christ Church on Jubilee Square, and parents are welcome to take Afternoon Tea on the terrace while the workshops are taking place. Please note Afternoon Tea would be booked via the Church Cafe directly.

Before signing up your child(ren) for the workshop please read the notes below, and payment will confirm you have agreed to the terms. Please note confirmations will not be sent out for this workshop, so please just turn up on the day!

  •    Children’s workshops are ideally suited for children aged 5 and upwards.

  •  Parents and guardians are responsible for their children at all times and children must not be left unaccompanied* – those under 7 may need some guidance during the activity. *Please only leave for the Afternoon Tea if your child is 7 or over, and collect them from the Side Chapel once the workshop has ended.

  •   Latecomers may not be able to be accommodated as this would be disruptive for the other children. The sessions are 20-30 minutes long.

  •  If you do not arrive within 5 minutes of the workshop starting your place may be offered to any children waiting.

  •   Ideally, children’s hands will be clean when they arrive, but sanitiser gel will be available.

  • Our cakes are nut free, but nuts are used in our kitchen.

You can find the sessions at:

Christ Church, Side Chapel, Jubilee Square, Woking.

I’ve always loved baking and cupcakes were always my favourite but I knew I needed to improve and learn some better techniques so when my husband got me a voucher for Victoria’s Kitchen, the cupcakes and buttercream basics class was the first one I booked. I’m so glad I did. I learned so much from Victoria and so many techniques and different ways of piping buttercream onto my cupcakes, as well as how to make the most amazing buttercream which is now my go to for every single cupcake I make. If you’re looking for a class to improve on your cupcakes and piping skills, then this is definitely the one for you. I can’t wait to book myself in for more classes in the future.

I have attended several of the classes at Victoria’s kitchen and would recommend them to anyone whether a beginner or experienced baker. I have just done the ‘Cupcakes & Buttercream Basics. Bake, make & pipe!’ I thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt lots of new tips and techniques which I can’t wait to try out again. This was such a lovely relaxing day, Victoria is a great teacher and I have come home with the most delicious cupcakes.
