This class is a perfect introduction to buttercream only celebration cakes and rose piping. No fondant at all in this cake!
You will learn how to split, fill, and mask your cake professionally, as well as finish it to a high standard. You will then become a master of rose piping – which is a wonderful skill that you can use on cupcakes as well as big cakes. The cake will be finished off with some filler piped leaves. This class is great for those wanting to learn a quick celebration cake – as there is no time spent making lots of sugar flowers and wiring – it’s a super quick cake which is ideal for those running cake businesses.
In this class you will learn how to master those tricky macaron shells yourselves which will include choosing your own colour palette. There will be a demonstration for some delicious fillings, and once you have assembled your masterpieces we will show you how to package them beautifully. Our Pastry Chef Umit will guide you through the mixing, drying and baking of the shells and talk through potential pitfalls you might experience at each stage. They are expensive little treats for a reason!
At the end of the session, you should have at least 20 macarons to take home in some beautiful packaging, a recipe and tips sheet, and the confidence to do this at home.
