Another exciting new class designed by our Cordon Bleu trained Pastry Chef Umit. In this workshop, Umit will take you through the step by step baking, creating and assembling of the French classic the Fraisier Cake.
Here, a genoise sponge cake is split and deeply filled with strawberries and a luxurious kirsch flavoured crème mousseline – crème pâtissière enriched with butter. The top is finished with a thin layer of marzipan and some pretty hand made sugar decorations. You’ll make it all from scratch, and as usual Umit will give you many other tips and techniques as you go along. It tastes incredible and will be sure to impress at dinner parties!
