Victoria’s Kitchen is thrilled to welcome back Nourish Cakes author & free-from baking expert Marianne Stewart. Spend the day with her and learn how to make and decorate this stunning Christmas Gingerbread Village.

 Looking for a Christmas cake alternative, or just want a fun day of sharpening your piping and cookie-making skills? In this class you will make your own 2-tier gingerbread Christmas Village, complete with stained glass windows and light up centre.

Ideal as a Christmas gift or table centrepiece, this project is a stunning way to get into the Christmas spirit and get your piping skills polished. You will learn how to make a delicious gingerbread cookie dough that holds it shape, the secret to perfect stained glass windows and how to decorate and build an impressive gingerbread structure.


Royal icing and piping expert Marianne Stewart will cover how to make royal icing and use different consistencies. She will show you beginner-friendly piping skills for flawless dots, scrolls and shells to adorn the gingerbread houses. You will pick your own colours and complete your own stained glass windows for a unique finish to each creation. Finally, we will show you how to light up the Winter Wonderland from the inside!


You will leave with your own 2-tier Gingerbread Village wrapped in cellophane & ribbon and all the recipes & instructions from the class. Class suitable for beginner to intermediate home bakers

Level: All skill levels

Length of class: Approximately 5 hours with a 45 minute break for lunch

Price: £135 per person - contact Victoria to pay via two instalments

Class size: Maximum of 8 students

What do you need to bring:

A bite to eat for lunch, comfortable shoes & something to tie hair back.

Aprons are provided to use during the day and light refreshments will be served during the class.

  • You can pay via Paypal or credit/debit card by booking via this website on the individual classes listed.

  • If you prefer to pay directly, you can email Victoria on and ask to pay via bank transfer, Victoria can then email you an invoice manually.

  • You can also pay via cheque if you prefer, by emailing Victoria to arrange. Cheques have to clear at least 10 days before the class takes place.

  • For classes over £100, instalment options are also available. Again just email Victoria to arrange.
